This recipe is so easy. It starts with my usual ice cream base, with a few seasonal additions for flavor and spice. Enjoy.
(p.s. If you don't have an ice cream maker...well, why don't you have an ice cream maker?!?!)
1-1/2 cups whole milk
1 cup packed light or dark brown sugar
2 tablespoons molasses or dark corn syrup
1-3/4 cups pumpkin purée (solid pack pumpkin)
1-1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon ginger
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground nutmeg
2-1/2 cups heavy cream

You need:1 1/2 c. milk
2 1/2 c. heavy cream
1 c. brown sugar or coconut sugar
2 tbsp. molasses
1 1/2 c. pumpkin puree
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. vanilla extract
In a bowl, combine all ingredients and whisk until smooth and sugar is dissolved. Pour into the ice cream maker for 25 minutes. Freeze at least four hours before serving.
